Lemme see..the Big 12 has 10 teams, the Big 10 has 14 teams...and they call the SEC stupid?

Texas A&M needs to come back home to the big 12.

LOL!! No way!! We’re having too much fun in the SEC.

Oh, silly me...I thought he was taking on a cupcake issue so he could be the next SEC commissioner....that’s Southeastern Conference, not Securities and Exchange.

Even the University of Houston could beat Texas.

Even SMU or North Texas could beat Texas. And Rice would have beaten them if not for all of their turnovers.

UT built the Longhorn Network with a ton of money coming in and decreed that Texas A&M could, if they were nice and quiet about it, have the privilege of playing UT every so often; UT would be more than happy to let A&M be the Washington Generals to their Harlem Globetrotters.

UT was the apple of Texas Football. If you’re a high school football star in Texas, UT was your best chance for exposure to pro scouts while staying in Texas.

Until Texas A&M said no.

Now. If you’re a college kid in Texas with pro ambition, Texas A&M vs UT is a no brainer. Playing in the SEC means either playing for or against a top ten team several games a year. All the scouts are watching and so are everybody else because most games are nationally televised.

Plus, the rise of Bayor, Tech and TCU means UT has fallen from 1st to 5th in in-state recruiting.

The Longhorn network and UT deciding to cash in and not share did the UT program in. Even the name is pretentious. Why not the Big 12 Network? If you were an SEC team, would you want your division’s prime game each week to be on RollTide TV? That’s great —— for one team.

Figures about the only thing El Jefe is right about is football. That said, football is serious business in Texas and making a negative comment about TSip ball, true or not, will lose more votes than it gains.

“Saw Varsity’s Horns Off”.
