A Florida woman is fighting to keep two of her dogs alive after they were deemed dangerous by animal control.
Stephanie Castro has fostered a 2-year-old Whippet mix, named Princess, and a 6-month-old hound pitbull mix, named Duke.
In August, a neighbor called animal control after the dogs got out of Castros house and began barking.
She admits the dogs should not have been loose.
However, she says animal control came back to her home three other times in the span of a month.
The second time, they told her the dogs would be deemed dangerous. After being deemed dangerous, the dogs would have to be muzzled, be on a leash and there must be a sign posted that warns visitors of the dogs.
After that, she says officers came back and claimed her dogs were loose again. She says her dogs were inside her home at the time, and even has witnesses to prove it.
She admits that they do look very similar to a pair of stray dogs that tend to roam the neighborhood.
The only time in two years that theyve ever witnessed my dogs doing anything wrong was the day they were in my yard barking at the neighbor, Castro told WPTV.
In September, her dogs were taken from her and she learned they could be euthanized.
They didnt do anything. They didnt bite anyone, Castro said.
However, a state statute says a dog doesnt have to bite or injure someone to be considered dangerous. Instead, it can be deemed dangerous simply by scaring someone.
Its like someone has taken my children, she said.
City officials say they have received dozens of calls about the law, asking for the dogs to be released.
There will be a hearing on Oct. 26 to determine if the dogs will be euthanized.
A dog is property and in Texas you can protect property with the amount of force required to do so. If they have a deadly weapon I’ll use mine.
Good luck with that.
Good luck growing a pair.
Guy named greg lawler got into an argument with his drunken girlfriend in 1997. Cops came to investigate. He thought that they were coming to seize his guns (like you he thought he was protecting his property) Grabbed his AR-15 and shot both of them. Killed one and brain damaged the other to the point that nearly 20 years later she's still not able to care for herself. He now sits on death row in the Ga state pen. Now he had a "pair," but like you he was too stupid to realize that getting into a shootout with cops over his property would not end well for him. Talk is cheap, but at least he walked the walk, but it wasn't the smartest thing to do.
Your story has nothing to do with a neighbor shooting someones dogs for barking in their own yard.
Absolutely nothing.
If you can find something at least semi-intelligent to post try again.
Do you know ANYTHING about firearm laws that Hillary didn’t teach you?
So have a great day talk the talk and maybe like dumbass lawler you'll get an opportunity to walk the walk when the police come and decide that your dog is threatening them.
Keep digging, you are almost buried.
Along with being a blowhard, you’re also delusional. You need to up your medication.
You can stop now as you are done.
Gotta say you really double down on delusional. You must be a democrat.
LOL!
Conservative gun owner, concealed carry licensed for 20 years and not a dumb ass.
I’m sure you can say none of the above if you were honest.
