A 12-year-old boy is suspended from school for 'staring' at another student. It happened in September of 2014 at St. Gabriel Consolidated School in Glendale. The parents filed suit in Hamilton County Common Pleas court to try and get the suspension erased claiming the school didnt give their son due process.
A Judge denied the claim, which means as of now the suspension of the 12-year-old stands. The perception is he intimidated her, said Candice Tolbert, his mother.
My son stared at a girl who was engaged in a staring game, she said. She giggled the entire time, she said from her Liberty Township home.
Court paper shows the female student "felt fearful. The incident happened on a Monday. The school was notified by the girls parents on Tuesday. They allegedly notified the Tolberts son on Tuesday, but did not tell the Tolberts until Wednesday. By that time, their son had already written an apology letter, which the parents said they were unaware of until notified by the school.

They are totally screwing up the kids. When is someone going to push back?
America is a really, really sick country. The lunatics are running the asylum.
This is beyond idiotic
I almost got in trouble for that yesterday.
The “girl” was probably about 45, and she was “dressed to impress”.
Took lots of will power, but wifey was way too close for me to attempt any staring.
This happened over a year ago, and they still haven’t dropped this crazy suit? Adults are nuttier than the kids. If a boy gets a gun and shoots up a school, no one can figure out why .
If only he had an Arabic last name, then he could get cash, prizes, and a trip to the White House.
One thing that can be done is to have the adults involved in this idiocy, including the judge, their name, position, and picture go viral on social media.
Expose them. Shame them.
It’s only a start - there’s still no substitute for local outrage. But if done right it can be fairly effective.
then seriously consider homeschooling.
America has become silly.
Well, at least when the collapse comes, I’ll go under knowing I fought the good fight, and in all likelihood would have popped over enough of the bad guys that they could never get even.
That was in 5th grade in my school. An Italian girl named Kathy cast some shadows at high noon, and, of course, we all noticed. And yes, we all stared. I know she was self-conscious about it, because she always seemed to have her arms crossed against her chest.
I blame the parents...for subjecting their kid(s) to public schools. Most likely they weren’t FORCED to do this, but to keep their kid out would often require some degree of lifestyle compromise. I guess that was too much for them in this case.
Nobody’s forcing them to go to school there ...
I often smile at people’s “overtaken by events” usernames.
I was in Catholic School,in the 60’s, in 5th grade, when the girls started changing in shape. There was a well believed rumor, that a girl could get pregnant, from sitting next to a boy, on the school bus ;)
And the parents are screwed up b/c they went through much of the same crap. So they are now pushing for idiocy as well.
Homeschooling is the only hope. Anyone gives you grief just say Kaley Cuoco was homeschooled, they will all shut up.
But on the other hand, an post-pubertal teenaged boy who claims he feels that he is a girl, can go right into the girl’s locker room, strip naked, and jump into the shower with them. And the girls are in the wrong if they feel intimidated! This world makes no sense! What are we doing to our young people?
So is he a sex offender now?
I guess poor Kaley didn’t get enough attention for her breasts in school, and that’s why she has to appear braless on magazine covers and in public.
