I like giving to the Salvation Army, which has been shown to use less money for overhead and administration than any other major charity. They were very helpful to us during and after Katrina, as were Baptist and Lutheran Social Services.
Well, SA is always at the top of my list. But there’s something about WW that raises my skepticism, all the crying and appeals to great emotion. I figure the pro-military here is a good place to get the skinny.

I think ‘Wounded Warriors’ is good.
Bless their hearts. They can’t get good medical care and are often snubbed and scorned for risking their lives for us.
