My dad taught me you fight threat with greater threat or in this case, fight stupid with greater more embarrassing stupid. She is older and getting wiser and has always known where Mom and Dad's lines are drawn. Whenever she was doing something we didn't want her doing, we just up and did it bigger, higher, stronger, exaggerated. Worked with her like a charm. My sister and I learned early our parents weren't slaves, waiters and punching bags. Now days that may not work because a lot of people I see relish pushing the envelope, daring anyone to correct them. Those people I pretend are invisible which I can tell gets under their skin.
