The Mopar 318 needs on the list, but dont know which Id replace.
It was a mainstay of the Chrysler family, but it wasn't a great engine. I had two, in a 1979 Dodge Diplomat wagon and in a 1989 Chrysler Fifth Avenue.
Power was adequate. Mileage was poor. Torque was nothing special for its displacement or its Mopar heritage. Required high octane fuel. Reliable, but not as much as the Slant-six.
The 383 in my '65 Chryselr 300 was fun before I foolishly upgraded the ignition system, though.
