Dashcam footage captured the horrifying moment two police officers drew their guns on a husband and wife after pulling them over while they were rushing to the hospital to give birth.
James Reiner was driving his wife Dana to the hospital after her water broke in January 2012 in Hebron, Indiana when they passed a police car that suddenly turned on its lights and pulled them over, despite the fact that they were not speeding.
That is when James got out to tell Sgt. Anthony Dandurand that his wife was pregnant and they needed to get to the hospital. He responded by cuffing the man on the ground while another officer, Travis Thomas, held a gun on James.
Dana then tried to show the men that her waters had indeed broken - and they pointed a gun directly at her belly and yelled at her to 'get back in the fu**ing car.'
(snip)
Dana was eventually picked up at the scene by an ambulance and taken to the hospital where she gave birth just minutes later according to an interview she did with The Times of Northwest Indiana.
(snip)
A U.S. District magistrate agreed with Dana in July 2014, when he ruled that the officers had absolutely no right to detain the couple after learning Dana was in pregnant, let alone take James to jail.
(snip)
And the men not only violated the constitutional rights of the Reiners as a judge later declared, but they also can be heard on the dashcam video six minutes into the arrest saying they will delete the video.

Hey what these guys and others like them did was despicable, but maybe you can come up with some figures, like how many Peace Officers are there in the united States, how many interactions with the public do these Peace Officers have daily and of these interactions how many are like this, comparable or worse. I don't condone this behavior on damn bit but sometimes the rhetoric is a little over the top. I mean bureaucrats at the VA daily kill and abuse American Vets more frequently.
“where exactly did you get the 75% figure? out of your ass or thin air?”
He meant to say 97.75%. I HATE COPS because this type of crap is commonplace and no so-called “good cop” stands up to it or prosecutes it. Where is the arrest of these cops by “good cops”?? Huh? Where???
“again where did the 75% come from? Are you completely stupid or did your wife marry an imbecile who just talks but cant walk the walk?”
Only a moron would not realize it is commentary and not a scientific number. You’re one of those moron cops, aren’t you?
When I was in the military we used to tell trainees, “Flunk this test and we’ll make you a cook or a cop.” It doesn’t take much intelligence to be a cop.
I hold ALL cops accountable. But you are right. Expecting that is like expecting a Nazi not to guard the Jews from escaping camp.
Do you turn faggot when you see an ‘A’ list Hollywood star?
You’re wasting your time with that guy. He loves to just say what people on a particular thread will agree with. Mostly the anti-cop folks. 75%, indeed.
THIS SHOULD SCARE THE HELL OUT OF EVERY THOUGHTFUL CITIZEN.
It was recently admitted by a former police administrator that the INTELLIGENCE TEST most departments give to applicants is to SCREEN OUT THE MORE INTELLIGENT among them. They want folks who are not all that smart BUT will “unfailingly follow orders” because, except for those brighter ones who get off on their power, they soon grow weary of the boredom and routine and move on to other jobs. (Anyone recall where that phrase “...just following orders” failed to protect a particularly onerous gang of government officials?)
Think about it. While there ARE exceptions — and I’ve known dozens and some are in my family — that frequently results in departments staffed with smart guys who get off on the authority and power and some rather less intelligent ones who either don’t possess or exercise GOOD JUDGEMENT or COMMON SENSE! Too many of them believe they are hammers to whom everything looks like a nail!
Perhaps if the legislators — you know, the otherwise ordinary citizens we send to “important” places to operate the machinery of the system in our behalf and for our benefit (allegedly!) — who also get off on THEIR power, stopped making ridiculous and asinine laws, we wouldn’t require so many cops and other enforcers in the first place. The alternative to that madness is called FREEDOM and we’re losing it as you read this.
Now, if you STILL don’t understand where this will take (HAS TAKEN?) us, read the passage below from the Ayn Rand classic, “Atlas Shrugged”.
“Did you really think we want those laws observed? said Dr. Ferris. We want them to be broken. You’d better get it straight that it’s not a bunch of boy scouts you’re up against... We’re after power and we mean it... There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What’s there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced or objectively interpreted and you create a nation of law-breakers and then you cash in on guilt. Now that’s the system, Mr. Reardon, that’s the game, and once you understand it, you’ll be much easier to deal with. (’Atlas Shrugged’ 1957)
“When I was in the military we used to tell trainees”
stop, you’re making me laugh LOL
You’re a joke.
Off your meds again? You need help.
These thugs should have been fired, at the very least.
I just love the internet, people says things that they would never have the guts to say to your face.I’m done with you,you twisted freak.
I’m within 30 miles of where this occured. Many in the area are POed that this happened. These officers were out of line! In contrast, another guy was pulled by Porter county police while speeding to get his wife, who was in labor, to the hospital. Once they realized the situation, they escorted them to the hospital.

Good for them! That's what's supposed to happen.
