My Dad is going to die. The hospital say it could be anytime within the next 48 hours.
If you can, could you pray for him and for me.
Thanks.
Prayers up for your father, you, and loved ones.
Prayers up for you both!
Lord Jesus Christ, be with Thy servant in the hour of his trial.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, amen.
I am so sorry to hear this.
I was able to be with my Poppa when he passed.
I miss him everyday, but sweet memories sustain me.
It hurts right now, but I promise you, it WILL get better.
Lifting you and yours in prayers for hope and healing.

May God, Our Heavenly Father, take your dad, whom He lovingly created, in His healing hand and extend his life on Earth for him and his loved ones. If it is your dad’s time to die as we all shall die someday, then at the moment of his death, May God speed him into heaven! In that event, may God give solace to your dad’s loved ones and give them confidence that your dad has become part of the multitude in eternal paradise. God bless you and yours now and forever. We ask all of this in Jesus’s name.
I do not mind a bit and I am more than happy you responded. I think the air here is rarefied and holy even though the Muslims on the Temple Mount insist on being violent.
Prayers go out from this special land, Israel in order to strengthen your dad so he can make his peace. Amen.
I love that poem.

Doc Watson - I am a Pilgrim
Be still, and know that I am God;
Psalm 46:10I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. 2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
Psalm 121:1Prayers extended for you and your entire family for our Lord to grace you with an abundance of His love, patience, peace and understanding.
Prayers being said for you and your dad. May God give you strength. So sorry to hear this.
Done.
Adding my prayer
Prayers up for family!
God our Father,
Your power brings us to birth,
Your providence guides our lives,
and by Your command we return to dust.
Lord, those who die still live in Your presence,
their lives change but do not end.
I pray for Lucy Hamilton's father, who is returning to You.
Have mercy on him, I beg,
cleanse him from all attachment to sin,
And make his glorious in Your Kingdom.
I pray in hope for his family and for mine,
and for relatives and friends,
and for all the dead known to You alone.
In company with Christ,
Who died and now lives,
may they rejoice in Your kingdom,
where all our tears are wiped away.
Unite us together again in one family,
to sing Your praise forever and ever.
Amen.
I’m overwhelmed by such a display of kindness from everyone who has posted, thanks.
We just got back from the hospital, my Dad is exactly as he was yesterday. They said 48 hours the other day, so it could be during the night or tomorrow we think. We are ready to go back to the hospital when we get the call, the priest is ready also, he was there earlier today again.
One of my cousins and her husband are with my Dad now, they’re holding the fort by the bedside.
I feel he wants to talk to me, he was making noises that were sort of sounding like words, but I couldn’t make out what they were....all very frustrating, frustrating I think for Dad too.
My Dad passed away at 1.10am.
I just thought I’d update the thread with this.
He’s just in a different place.
The soul is the real deal.
Dear Lucy,
I am sorry for your loss. Prayers for the peaceful repose of his soul and for comfort for his family.
Hugs.
