Tuck, I agree, but where in the country do you suppose all the laid off oil field, pipe fitters, machinist are suppose to move now in the new Obama economy.
The oil business dragged America out of the recession and have been layed off in droves. Where do you suppose they should move now in the great Obama economy.
I wish the LSM would show stories about all those boom town North Dakota, Marcellus or south Texas towns today
I often wonder why I rarely get responses. I guess common sense isn’t too much here?
If they insist on remaining in that one field; you’re right. Slim and none. And I don’t have all the answers, either.
But those strong, tough oilfield workers....a lot of other jobs would be like tiddly winks for them. Around here the trucking companies are crying for drivers. Depending on conditions, they may have to make less money, at least tenporarily.
Did they store up any acorns to fall back on for such a time as this when they were making big money? Or did they acquire 2 new cars, a new pick ‘em up truck, a boat and 2 ATVs, and put themselves in hock “up to here”? Just asking. The other side of the coin is, did they behave themselves and really manage their assets when times were good? A lot of them apparently didn’t.
