In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
(cumbrous) [ˈkʌmbrəs, KUM brus]
adjective
Definition :
heavy, weighty, ponderous, cumbersome mean having great weight. heavy implies that something has greater density or thickness than the average of its kind or class . To hamper, burden, or trouble. Jesus tells of the man who said to his vineyard-keeper, "Cut it down. Why cumbreth it the ground?" ("Why should it go on using the soil?" New English Bible)
Origin: Late Middle English (in the sense 'difficult to get through'): from cumber + -ous.
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.
LOL. I hope that ! means job well done and not OMG how fat was she! :)
Hmmmn.
The middle class. The people who work, produce, and donate in his churches.
They are not his avowed enemies (the “rich” capitalists whom he despises) nor his flock. To him, they are very obviously - merely to be taken for granted. To be sheared for their money and their pliant votes.
Well, thanks! LOL
But...but...but....
