The battery runs out on their EV 8 miles from home and, instead of making the boys walk home and learn a tough lesson about the price of being an Eco-warrior, Momma drives the gasoline engine car to pick them up? She’s nuts. But she passed it down to the kid.

Make him live without clean water, any store-bought food, any pharmaceuticals, or toiletries, no transportation of any kind sans feet, and no electronic gadgets of any kind. See how fast he comes crawling back begging to be readmitted to the 21st century.

To top it all off, he’s going to college three thousand miles from home and he bitches about an asparagus spear from Mexico? The pollution from ONE transcontinental flight will more that wipe out any of the “savings” he accumulated over many years.

These people are Marin County morons with no common sense at all...except for Mom wanting the baby out of the house. The kid needs a stint in the Marine Corps, but they wouldn’t take the pimply faced 100 pound weakling.

I think boys should have to work a year in construction before they go off to college.

It is actually a smaller use of fossil fuels to transport our foods in those gigantic cargo ships than it is for the local farmer to truck his goods to the local farmer market.
