I’m not saying that this isn’t part of some nefarious scheme by the kid’s Muslim activist family, but the fact remains-the device IS a clock.

A collection of parts, no matter how complicated the individual parts are, is not a clock unless, using it, anyone can determine what time it is.

Is a clock that isn't wound, not plugged in, has a dead battery, or hasn't been set still a clock?

Is a broken clock still a clock?
