It is perfectly normal and natural for a kid (or anyone) of Mid-Eastern descent to bring a ticking object to his school, secured in his back pack.

However, if MY grandson were to stick his thumb up and point his finger at his ‘friend’ he more than likely would get admonished - if not be thrown out of school for ‘fake pretending a gun’.

Of course one should always be careful of pointing a finger at another - it has a nail in it.

that’s a good point. non muslims kids have been suspended/ expelled/arrested for things that looked far less potentially dangerous than what this kid had. (pop tarts eaten into the shape of a gun)

Like i said before I predict his parents will sue and the government will give him millions.
