Mine have absolutely trained me. After I let them out at night to do their business, they will not come in unless I give them their nightly car ride. They are superb negotiators.

My current dog herd will hide under the bed if they think a car ride is coming up. The only time they get in the car is to go to the vet or occasionally the boarding kennel.
