For years I have feared Kyle Busch winning the championship for the damage it would do to the sport. It would be worse than JJ wining a 7th!
However, he won and he won the way he needed to win. It is one of the greatest comeback stories in sports. He is a hero, and the fans recognize that. I think he is a better person for overcoming his adversity, and being that better person is what enabled him to win it.

I hear ya. For years talented Kyle was Murphy’s Law behind the steering wheel. He won races but his arguing & attitude/bad-boy image made me happy whenever he had a mishap and he seemed to have them at the worst possible time. The turning point was when he almost lost his ride the he married Samantha, baby made three & then his injury in the wreck all matured him to the point that he’ll be a good champion.
