Glenn Beck lied. Again. After apologizing for calling Sarah Palin a clown on Thursday, Beck, who has acknowledged that Americans actually view him as a clown and a monkey, claimed in a blog post that he and the Palins have not had a relationship since the assassination attempt on Rep. Gabby Giffords (D-AZ) in 2011. Beck wrote that he suspected people were telling the Palins lies about him to drive a wedge between them.

Excellent post.
I make it a point to use "forgotten words" many tines a week.
Never cared to listen to Beck. His radio voice is dull and the buffons in his peanut gallery are annoying.
“I make it a point to use “forgotten words” many tines a week”.
Where are you located?
I’d like to do that but there aren’t too many around here who would understand them.
My 89 year old uncle is really good at using them and uses them naturally. He comes up with the funniest things and he cracks me up.
The problem I think is that The Palins, like some of us, are ‘out of time’. We want to, and in our personal lives do, live in a bygone era where words meant things, principle mattered and trust was important and a valued commodity. This is not the case for most of the planet.
Reagan was right to think ‘trust but verify’ but today that’s suicidal. We see right here on FR where everyone is supposed to be staunchly conservative and supposedly all throwbacks ourselves that many cannot be trusted to act with honor or principle. ESPECIALLY where Sarah Palin is concerned. Witness the overwhelming liberalism that gushed forth unzotted from hundreds of ‘staunch conservatives’ that did all in their power to torpedo her.
Trusting a con man like Beck may have been filled with christian intentions, but it was always a very, very bad idea. Trust needs to be earned. And he, like many talking heads merely mouths what they think benefits them at a point in time. There is no basis to their ‘beliefs’ outside of self improvement in the financial/power department.
“Buy my book where I tell you one thing while doing another. Just pay no attention to my actual actions or who I support on election day that runs counter to everything I said on TV for 3 years and 300 days!”
beck is a raging bipoler as some one who sufers from it I can recognize when he is in the grips of his ilness. on the raidio he gets that cadence on a reguler basis it is forced speach patern that happens with a lot of us that suffer from bipoler and it is verry evident in his speach. peaple in the grips of this ilnesss also lose there ability of self control and I am sure that is one of the reasons for him releasing a private leter. his inabilty to awknoledge that he did wrong is just a trait that most normal peaple myself included have. it is real hard for anyone to see the splinter of sin in our eye.
I’m sorry to hear that you suffer from that. I’ve known a person like that, and it was painful for me. I can’t even imagine how that person felt inside. You want to help, but it doesn’t work...
"Leave Glenn Beck Alone" yet.
He'll get no sympathy from me.
Beck has a very bad case of wet-brain.
Kinda like Beck is doing with Trump. Total distortion of the truth. I woke up to Beck this morning on the radio saying Trump is "just like Barack Obama, just like Barack Obama." He just keeps repeating himself. It is awful.
I think he has a massive, massive case of "fear of success".
I have known many people with it. They achieve success many times in their lives and, every time, self implode--on some subconscious level they are wired to destroy it.
I lost it with Beck long, long ago, haven't trusted him nor listened to him since his first interview with her (2010, 2011?).
Beck needs to hang it up, he's just too unstable for his own good, or the good of anyone else.
Without any sense of irony, Beck said Trump is cruel and an ego-manic and narcissist in ways that make Barack Obama seem like Saint Francis. He is so thin-skinned that he destroys anyone who crosses him”
I used to think The Donald as thin skinned. I’m now more of the thinking that you should defend yourself against any attacks. Just make sure you are actually being attacked...
The “keep your friends close and your enemies closer” thing hasn’t worked for Republicans for quite a while. Go get’em Donald!!!
I don’t subscribe to the view that responding to every attack make you thin skinned. I wish George W Bush fought back to attacks but he never did. People like him think it’s beneath them to respond to these attacks. Another way of looking at this is that Trump does not think people are beneath him to respond to
That’s his background. A friend of mine who is in AA says that Beck has had four AA mentors quit on him because Beck is uncooperative and won’t follow the program. He calls Beck a dry drunk, meaning that Beck probably isn’t drinking but that he’s still filled with all of the anger, immaturity and self-centeredness typical of alkies. In Beck’s mind he’s doing everything right, it’s everyone around him with the problem.
Very interesting observation about a change in Glenns vocal pattern. Could you explain that a bit more? I listened to him today because I was curious after hearing so much speculation about his mental status and his voice sounded very strained. Sort of shaky. As tho he was trying to stabilize it.
I was fortunate to have an opportunity to meet Andrew Breitbart about a year before he died. I complimented him on a job well done when he had recently filled in as guest host for Michael Savage. When I mentioned Savage, Andrew kind of smirked and said, "He's crazy." I'm pretty sure he meant it.
