Little dogs bite at an alarming rate. But they’re little. So not “dangerous.”
That’s right—they’re not.
And, lots of little dogs don’t bite at an alarming rate.
For safety’s sake, my rule might be that an owner can only have a dog with a weight in ounces up to three times his or her IQ.
That would mean an average person could have a dog that weighs up to 19 pounds. A Mensan, 25 or more pounds. Your average punk on the street only 15 pounds.
And yes, that means someone would set out to breed the nastiest toy breeds possible, but at least they could do less damage.
