That sucks. I was just talking about those Adam 12 guys on another thread. It was a different America. Mostly cat up a tree stuff but one thing I noticed was that they always looked to settle disputes without having to lock anybody up. They policed in such a way that promoted peace and cooperation in the community.
And this was Los Angeles!

We named the police duo in our village Adam 12. We had some run-ins with them, mainly about having fires in our back yard. The neighbors complained. They were cool. They showed us how their new radar gun worked.
Good show. Miss those times.

He was great in an episode of “Colombo”. Directed by Spielberg, he played a writer that gets knocked off by his partner, Jack Cassidy. Small part.
