Chance Eagles could still cut him and go with only two QBs or grab somebody like E.J. Manuel off waivers, but this trade likely means Tim has probably made an NFL roster for the first time since 2012 thanks to a vintage Tebow performance against the Jets in yesterday's final pre-season game. Barkley was awful and Tebow actually looked like an NFL QB for a series or two.

Given Braford’s injury history, I’m sure the Eagles #2 is likely to get a lot of playing time.

Will be interesting to see. Not holding my breath but will pleasantly surprised if/when he makes it.

Yes, I watched the game. Tim Tebow looked pretty good and Barkley stunk up the place.

The thing about Tebow is that everywhere he’s gone his teammates love him. Even without getting on the field, he is a positive in the locker room.

Saw the highlight film of his performance last night. Tim looks pretty good. His comments after the game were positive/upbeat. A definite asset to an NFL team.

Football has lost me like Fox News but as a Texan Native and defacto Dallas fan I pray Tebow becomes the Eagles starter.
To: Callahan
Not surprised. Tebow’s playing style is well-suited for Chip Kelly’s style of offense.

Tebow looked spectacular in the pre-season. Philadelphia would be crazy not to add him to their roster.
Tebow reminds me of a young Tom Brady.

If I were the Eagles, I would have traded Sanchez and kept Barkley. Barkley looked good, and Sanchez is Sanchez. He will never be a good starter. Barkley has upside. Tebow is good to have, too, if you have 3. Make other teams prepare for run option, whether you use it or not. Also, good for 2 point conversions, although their success rate in the preseason hasn’t shown it yet.

Tebow better show up on game days!
If and when, led the team to victory as the QB, and get some real support of this team as a whole...

Tim Tebow looked pretty decent last night, far better than Barkley, who stunk up the field. Plus Tebow is good for A LOT of T-shirt sales.

Tebow is the only thing bringing me to the NFL this year.
if he makes the team, it’ll make liberals go bat-sh*t
and that’s always a good thing.

What’s really new? He’s made NFL rosters before. He’s just not good enough to start in the NFL, just like plenty of hot shot college QBs. Glad for him, but every team has backup QBs...a lot of them far more talented than this guy and just as Christian as he is.
