Oh my. I wouldn’t hesitate one little bit to believe that one of these deputies hopes she loses her job because one or more of them want that cushy, $80,000 a year position. They’ll sign gay licenses all day long for that amount of money. By the way - isn’t that quite a high salary for a clerk of courts in Kentucky?
It wouldn’t surprise me if there are several other counties with much higher paying clerk positions. These other clerks have decided what their price is I guess.
