If the marriage statutes have been annulled there is now no marriage in Kentucky.

If the courts want to get mad at someone about it, even from a logical secular point of view, it should not be at the clerk that she will not make up law. It should be at the legislature that it will not bow down to their all-powerful selves.

Not the safe course in this instance.. The wise course. You have to get elected. No point in taking on a no-win issue especially when you are not in any position to do anything about it except to commit political suicide. Trump has already said he believes in traditional marriage on national TV. He could have taken the ‘safe’ route and said something like, “well, I believe that’s an issue to be decided by the States.”

Just curious, would you stand against the religious establishment that forced speaking in tongues and the other gifts of the Spirit out of the Church in the first century in order to keep authority and power in the hands of ‘those who know better’?

My response may not be what you are looking for, because I reject your premises on several grounds. First, I believe that the miraculous gifts of the Holy Spirit were a first century phenomena for the confirming of the Word of God. Second, I believe that the "religious establishment" consisted of the apostles and, after their death, of elders and deacons in individual congregations, at least until that ancient practice was corrupted in succeeding centuries. But perhaps to try and answer what you are getting at (and I'm not sure what you are getting at), I would stand for what I believed was right, and particularly so if it was an issue that struck at the heart of the battle between God and Satan.

lol

You said it was a “neglected issue”.

Ted Cruz went to the border when Obama was letting in all the “children” and called illegal immigration the defining issue of our time.

He has long called for cutting off the benefits and a real e-verify with teeth to deny jobs to illegals.

Trump is a Johnny come lately on everything.

Liberals want to make the election about homosexuals, abortion and birth control because they don’t want to talk about the economy, jobs, taxes, repealing obamacare, immigration, etc. The GOP always fall into this trap. Trump is picking his battles wisely.

The only answer will be a full-court press in God. This can mow down strongholds and bring surprises. Perhaps all the politicians and actors we have been seeing only have bit parts in a larger divine drama, and we are wrong to talk as though we now have to judge an idol fight between our various idols.

Last time I heard, Jeb hasn’t. I did a quick search on Cruz and saw nothing but can’t be sure. Cruz is slick. He is a stealth Bushie in my opinion. But what I could never get past was his wife saying that everyone on the debate stage could be part of a Cruz administration. Those were mostly RINOs on the debate stage. It was a very telling slip up. He is not what he seems.

The world is in the bank of war The economy is failing

And both are the consequence of the march of Liberalism. I have long been contemplating a theory, one which has been espoused as "Tytler's Cycle", and "Kyklos", and it occurs to me that we are facing a natural cycle like the tide, and it is simply impossible to hold it back.

The ideas we advocate are for the purpose of creating safety and prosperity for ourselves and our families, and they do accomplish that if held to for a long period of time.

But there is a characteristic of human nature that inclines people towards gaiety and foolishness when they are prosperous, and inclines them towards soberness and sanity when times are bad.

Our society is the victim of it's past success. Because we have been so prosperous and fecund, we now exist in a society and culture that simply has no grasp of the cliff off which it is walking. They grew up with little to no understanding of hardship and sacrifice.

They have implemented ideas and policies that will eventually result in destruction and collapse, and then the surviving members of the next generation will once again be put into circumstances under which they can comprehend the ideas of sobriety and caution.

This appears to be the natural cycle of human history, and our generation seems no more able to remember the consequences of past societies than any other. That we follow Rome into the ash heap of history is simply not a thought that most wish to entertain.

At this point, I think we will have to go through the crash before there will once again be the political will and sobriety necessary to resume the principles and social attitudes required to restore sanity and prosperity.

I am afraid that things must get much worse before they will ever be capable of getting better, and perhaps our efforts would be better spent working to push along the collapse instead of trying to prevent it.

"Cruz is not as clean as the wind driven snow. "

Only Jesus Christ is that. We're in the process of choosing a human being for president.

Ted Cruz, though not perfect, is the most solid, proven conservative and Constitutional champion of the group. On the other hand, Trump proves his liberalism more every day.

The choice is clear.

Just remember one thing: When concealed carry laws are passed in states and local sheriffs or police departments refuse to comply....how do we feel?

That does not overturn several thousand years of normal practice and religious belief.

A closer analogy is the Nazis ordering people to issue Tattoos to "untermenschen." The "Law" was on their side too.

One does not obey the law merely because it's "the Law." One is expected to DISOBEY immoral laws.

Would you arrest Christians when it becomes the law? That is where this is going. The time to resist is before it gets stronger.

We, the people, elected the idiots who allowed these laws to be passed. We did not stand up and fight when it was necessary. We got what we deserved.

In my state, how many other than me are investigating/working to get my state constitution changed to allow for the recall of senators and congressmen?

It seems no one can see beyond their own single issue. That’s the only one worth fighting for. What about the others that lead up to this?

How many times have you stood in front of your state capitol protesting? How many times have you called or written your Senators, Congressmen, Governor, Attorney General?

“And Cruz telling us to bow down to our globalist masters? “

What does this mean? Are you off your meds?

Nope. Apparently Cruz was off his meds when he got in the sack with Amnesty Ryan to pimp obamatrade and the other still under wraps secret deals Obama is preparing. After the Iran Deal fiasco, we can see how stupid enabling Obama in any form is/was.

it is the tip of the spear in this generation’s war against God, but also because we anticipate that we will likely one day end up in jail because of our beliefs.

Those people here on Free Republic who are advocating for her to "resign" or "get someone else to issue the licenses" will not be Jailed for their beliefs.

They will capitulate when their beliefs are challenged by authorities and comply with whatever demand the Evil places on them.

They will bleat all the way to the camps.
