She could conceivably get both. It depends on how hard-assed the judge wants to be. She will have a hard decision to make tomorrow, and while it's easy for us to say she should dig in her heels and stand her ground we're not the ones facing jail or financial penalty. So whatever her decision is tomorrow I'm not going to second guess her on it.
Theoretically, yes, she could get both.
I just don’t think that she’ll get jail. As much as a Federal Judge is going to want to compel her compliance with judicial edicts, that same Judge won’t want major escalation and is going to see the PR problems with the imagery of her being cuffed and frogmarched out by Federal Marshals.
Imposing fines is the safe route to take to get the point across while trying to deescalate the situation.
If she is found to be in contempt of the court, she may find herself in jail.
Depends on the attitude of the judge.
