SNIP
Ever since it opened in July, tucked between Chinese restaurants and spas at 10 Mott St., foodies from far and wide have been waiting up to three hours to get a taste of 10Below, which serves an American twist on Thai ice cream rolls.
The frozen concoction is created by pouring liquid homemade ice cream onto a cold plate reaching temps well below zero. Employees mix in toppings, flatten it out like a crepe, and then scrape it into ice-cold rolls with a putty-knife-like tool. The result is five cute little rolls with toppings ranging from fresh strawberries to a blowtorched marshmallow and Teddy Grahams. (The store offers eight different flavor combinations, each $7 including tax.)

Don’t any of these people work for a living...?
Things haven't changed much in 20 years, have they?
Trump better not eat that or I’m not voting for him. lol
better mousetrap
Did the one that had obama as an employee survive the experience?
There's a little bit of a revived interest in an old Breton butter cake called kouign-amann. Was featured as a challenge in a British amateur baking show.
Friendly’s went Chapter 11 in recent years. And I think Farrell’s went under, and was revived after the fact.
Oh, and I would throw HoJos into the failed category as well.
I am talking about an individual location. Some I have seen in business for years. Even small independents.
I'm with your kids. It doesn't look very creamy.
Nutella Ice Cream = 2 frozen bananas, 2 dollops of Nutella thrown into a blender.
I have done some dumb moves over the years.....waited 90 minutes to get on the Harry Potter ride in Orlando. Waited close to 2 hours to eat at The Outback on a Saturday night....actually did that a number of times......I have not waited in line for ice cream though. I guess it must be pretty dang good though if they would wait that long. I think this is what capitalism is all about. I say good for the company and the customers.
Cold Stone?
I to this day do not get the fascination with Cold Stone.....my sister in law this it is the great thing ever and when we visit we have to go....Ugh. Give me Dairy Queen everyday and I’d be happy.
Yeah, whatever happened to Howard Johnson’s????
And whatever happened to five and dime stores such as J.J. Newberry, Kresge, Woolworth’s?????
Kresge==>K-Mart
It’s overpriced, IMO. I’ll take a Talenti gelato in any flavor any day.
I love Talenti gelato. I’m not even an ice cream fan, but that Talenti is the best dessert you can buy at the store :)
Looks good. And looks like a much better use of 10 Mott Street than what was there before.
But all my great nieces (and I) love Sweet Frog. Sweet Frog is frozen soft serve yogurt - you choose your cup size and then self serve whatever flavor or combinations flavors you want and then go to the topping bar and pile on whatever you want; fresh fruit, nuts, crushed candy bars, cake, gummy candy, various sauces hot or cold, and when you get to the check out, you pay by weight.

Dittos on the Talenti gelato
We just scored 5000 rounds of brass from the local police from their range. The price was zero. We support them and they support us. That brass is now being cleaned and reloaded. It is mostly 223, 9mm and and 40.
This is Texas and that is the way it works,
