My friend and fellow professional engineer, married a gal who spent $50,000 in student loans for a Master’s Degree in Art Therapy. Her first job out of grad school was $10/hr answering phones as a suicide prevention hotline! I guess they hired her because of advanced degree in “therapy”...
So I take it ‘art therapy’ is nothing like restoring old paintings and such.
Is it ‘psychological therapy’ for old fogies (like me) who’s been traumatized by the so-called modern art?
I am probably the least nurturing person on the planet. I would have made a horrible art therapist, even if I ever found employment. LOL
Did hour friend by any chance tell you what the heck “art therapy” is?
Believe it or not "Art Therapy" is now becoming a bigger part of the Medical Profession treating things like PTSD and Abused kids and such. Its even being covered under insurance.
