Well, my residence has been "selected" to participate in the "mandatory" census-type survey, 2015 National Content Test. Never heard of this before, and am leery about participating - so I won't. It is not a census year, so this is not required by law in my thinking.
My question regards the "required by law" part. Laws can only apply to people or entities. The form threatens me by telling me that my response is "required by law," but since the census only selects residences/properties, I am not personally, specifically named to answer. This seems like a very unenforceable "law" if that's what it is.
Besides, how can they prove that the envelope was delivered?
Anyone else have any experience with this mailing?

I ignored a pain of a census worker that wanted to fill in blanks and answers such as my response with ‘that is public information’ on my 2010 form. She returned more than once, got same answers, then handed her something that was posted here back then about our obligations, etc., and told her to deliver that to her supervisor.
Never heard back, but then, I may be getting close to a no-knock visit from a 3-letter agency!

Are you sure this is some official governmental document or some sort of scam or ad deal - check with your local town, city etc government to see what they can tell you would be my advice - otherwise I wouldn’t respond....

Last census I refused to answer their invasive questions so they sent out a couple creeps to interview me.
I politely told them to get the hell off my property.
They insisted they needed to do the census.
I told them they were trespassing and if they didn’t leave I’d call the cops on em and have them arrested.
They argued but left and I never heard from them again.;
Take your, “mandatory” and shove it up your wazoo,.
It’s going in the shredder, as does everything with “Resident” addressed on it.
When ever they ask RACE I put down AMERICAN.

Well, I’ve gotten my 3 threatening postcards, my full census test packet with questionnaire, and only await a call from the federal goons. Can’t wait.
