There are many schools in Virginia named for CSA soldiers, or for slave owners. Besides Falls Church Stuart “Raiders,” also there is Jefferson (Fairfax), Jefferson (Roanoke), Jefferson (Richmond), Washington & Lee (Arlington), Lee (Springfield), Lee (Staunton), Stonewall Jackson also “Raiders,” and Lee-Davis, “Confederates.” to just name some high schools. Several historic names also. But I’ve no doubt Northern Virginia might change names.

My daughter graduated from Joseph E. Wheeler High School. Even though Wheeler had been a Lieutenant General in the Army of the Confederacy, he was rehabilitated so to speak, and served in the US Volunteers with a commission of Major General by President McKinley for the duration of the Spanish American War, serving in Cuba and the Philippines. Hopefully they will not try to change the name.
