Oreo itself is an imitator of Sunshine Hydrox (now barely existing and owned by Keebler last I heard).
Store versions of Oreos are not as good.

Do they still sell Hydrox? I always thought they were better than Oreos.

Hydrox is the brand name for a creme-filled chocolate sandwich cookie that debuted in 1908 and was manufactured by Sunshine (later Sunshine Biscuits).[1] The similar Oreo cookieintroduced later, in 1912was inspired by the Hydrox, yet Hydrox was perceived as the knockoff.[2] Compared to Oreos, Hydrox cookies have a tangy, less-sweet filling and a crunchier cookie that gets less soggy in milk.

Exactly. And when I’m in the mood for Oreo’s, I buy the store brand. Admittedly I was unaware they(Oreo’s)are now being made overseas. I was not eating Oreo’s, or any other Nabisco products for that matter, because of that ridiculous commercial Nabisco made pushing the queer agenda.
