The Monster of Monticello?
To: Citizen Zed
Abraham Lincoln, almost everyones favorite president, hated Thomas Jefferson,
What’s that have to do with the price of eggs in China? I am able to decide whether or not I like a person even if someone whom I admire doesn’t like him/her. What a ridiculous reason to dislike a person.

Well, if a Puerto Rican rapper says Jefferson is evil, I guess you really have to take notice./

I guess I missed that part where Lincoln said he hated Thomas Jefferson. I can not even think back to when Lincoln said he hated Jefferson Davis. Maybe I missed something.

But Jeffersons star may be fading. Democrats are erasing his name from political dinners because of his slave-owning history. My guess is that it is a kill the messenger strategy at work here.
Jefferson is probably the strongest voice for freedom and liberty in history.
The ideals of freedom and liberty are the Democrats worst nightmares.
The Democrats are trying to destroy the founding fathers reputations so that they can discredit and silence the voices of freedom.

He’s probably my least favourite Founding Father. I give him props for the Declaration of Independence and the Louisiana Purchase, but I dislike his embrace of the bloodiness of the French Revolution and taking scissors to the Bible to cut out the miracles.

Go to any American elementary school and ask the students to name the Founding Fathers . . . any you'll be met with a blank stare.

If David Benhioff and D.B. Wiess would have been in charge of the
John Adams Mini-Series, they would have had Thomas Jefferson Burn his Daughter at The Stake in-order to not get the Audience to like him. Their reasoning being that she was destined to die anyway so we need him to do something bad so we don't like him.
After the Red Coats and their "20 Good Men" had burnt all his Ink Wells so he couldn't write the Deceleration of Independence >:(

As I recall,in 1800, Hamilton ended supporting Jefferson to make him president as opposed to Burr who he thought totally unworthy.

It’s easier to hate Jefferson for running away while Virginia governor instead of organizing the militia to repel the British during the War for Independence. Or for 8 years of boycotts that trashed the economy. Or for dragging out the 1st American-Muslim War.
Or you could love him for eliminating all internal taxes and keeping us out of war with the British.
