Maybe you need to look a little deeper. Is Trump 's campaign built on policy or intelligence? It's built on saying outrageous things. Kelly served up to Trump exactly the kind of question he wanted. Fox tried to throw the debate to Trump. If Kelly wanted to hurt Trump she could have asked him any number of questions that would have tripped him up, but no, she played right into his campaign.
Imagine if she had asked him about Common Core. It could have revealed right then he doesn't even know what Common Core is.

If Kelly wanted to hurt Trump she could have asked him any number of questions that would have tripped him up, but no, she played right into his campaign. If Trump was expecting that question, he would have done well to have a really tough response: Speaking as someone who is in show business, you dont know your audience. This audience is worried sick about policy, this audience knows that the country is on the wrong track. You could be asking me about immigration, or you could be talking about Common Core. But what do you ask me about? Rosie ODonnell! Your audience doest need Fox News to ask questions like that. They thought they were going to get substance here.
If he had done that, the audience would have been eating out of his hand. Kelly would have been thinking about cutting her losses.
