Day 5 of the Cali Clan’s visit. Two days of family reunion prep, then we had the big day. Sunday we went to a winery and dined on a terrace overlooking Keuka Lake. After, we went down the hill to DH’s cousin’s cottage and sat on their dock on the water. So peaceful there. Today, the newlyweds are house hunting in Corning. We get our oldest son to ourselves for a day. The weather has been awesome.
At 3am the other night we got a heavy rainstorm. Our son got up and went out into the yard and danced in the rain. We have a tent for the reunion so he sat under that till it stopped. Been years since he saw rain. He was in his glory. They are still in a drought out in San Jose.
wait a minute, house hunting? your daughter and SIL are relocating back to your area? How are you not screaming and carrying on with joy??
and yes, I can imagine rain must be a welcome sight to them!
