Considering the star exploded 1100 years ago, and the nebula is already more than a light year across, the speed of the expanding stellar debris is impressive.

WADR, I think you meant the first light from the explosion of the star arrived here 1100 years ago. I didn’t see the distance in light years to the location to figure out how long ago the explosion actually took place.
