We have third world neighbors 2 doors down. They had a yappy Pomeranian that ran the street. I’d go out the front door and and it would stand in my front yard and bark at me. I ran it off at least once a week.
About 2 weeks ago I went out to check the mail and the teenage daughter came up to me and asked if I’d seen the dog. I said....oh is it gone? She said yes. I said....good! And turned and walked off. Lol
Turned 80 this year. And feelin’ pretty good! This happened back in ‘58 east of Stapleton.
I’m pretty sure the neighbors are long gone by now. Or in a home somewhere. They were in their 30’s then. Smoked like chimneys, too. The neighborhood went to pot back in the 70’s. I moved around plenty in the service, so I didn’t stay put there long enough to care.
