Get a charger with a desulfation mode and bang it every year.

Sulfation is what kills batteries. The lead plates corrode into nothing.

My “Smart” brand charger has one.

Interesting, I have never known of such a tool. I have worked on an awful lot of DC deep cycled battery powered scissorlifts and manlifts and have essentially done what that tool does automatically. I am so old school at times with my Hydrometer and adjustable battery charger with it's mechanical timer LOL. Thanks.
