There is very little doubt in my mind that IF Trump gets the nomination, he will pick Cruz. Two reasons:
1. That meeting they had a month or so ago which was not widely publicized. Just two men getting toegther in Trump’s office. I think some kind of agreement was made.
2. We have all heard Trump criticize just about every other candidate. I’ve NEVER heard him criticized Ted Cruz.
Yup, but I think the agreement may have been for Trump to do what he does — make lots of noise, beat the media at their own game, and take the heat — and then join Cruz as the VP so that he can really learn how the fedgov works. Thus: 8 years Cruz/Trump followed by 8 years Trump/? (Palin?)
