Many, many decades ago, when I was in the eighth grade, our U.S. History teacher assigned to each of us the task of writing a report about one of the many Founding Fathers. We were ordered to do our own work. There were people who questioned whether my fried Jed had actually written his own report when he finished his oral presentation with the words,
"Also see 'Revolutionary War' in Volume 22."By the ninth grade, Jed was usually carrying a half pint of vodka in his back pocket. But, in the end, it's all turned out ok, I guess.
