Jets quarterback Geno Smith has a broken jaw after a fight with a teammate and will be sidelined for the next six to ten weeks, according to New York head coach Todd Bowles.
He got cold-cocked. Sucker punched, whatever you want to call it, in the jaw, Bowles said of Smith, who had been anointed the starting quarterback earlier this summer by the Jets coaching staff.

Toe-sucker may be gone, but the Jets are the Jets.

Not to worry, they'll go to their back up QB, Ryan Pickpatrick from the Texans and Harvard.

Cause when you’re the Jets, you’re the Jets all the way
From your first scrimmage loss to your last season play.
When you’re the Jets, If the spit hits the fan,
You got brothers to punch, You’re a team-wrecking man!

LOL!
Rule number one. Don’t smart mouth a linebacker.

The rest of the team probably took up a collection and paid the dude to do it since they knew they couldn’t win with him as QB.

Looks like Ryan Fitzpatrick will start. The player who sucker punched Geno was immediately released.

Ik Enemkpali....wonder if he will be charged for the sucker punch.
'This was not Enemkpali's first brush with off-field violence. At 19, he punched an off-duty cop who was working security during a bar fight while he was at college at Louisiana Tech. On that night Enemkpali had to be subdued first with pepper spray and then with a taser.
He was arrested and charged with battery on a police officer and disturbing the peace/drunk, according to court records. The charge was amended to simple battery and he received a suspended jail sentence and was placed on 13 months probation. He also was ordered to perform 32 hours of community service and to complete an anger management course.'

Goodell will find a way to blame and suspend Belichick for this dastardly deed.

If I was the coach there would be two players that were going to miss the next 6-8 weeks.
