How I would love to be working on that dig site! 50years ago we lived in Yorktown Virginia. I found pottery chards while digging in my flower beds, also found those little stems of clay pipes . At a yard sale I bought an antique pistol for $10 , missing the barrel, that had been found on the Yorktown battlefield.It dates from the period of the Revolutionary War.

I’m jealous. My ancestors were at Jamestowne. Love visiting Williamsburg where they have the found objects.

I lived in Yorktown as a small child around 1950 when my father was a young Navy Lieutenant JG at one of the many navy installations in the area.
