There have been some interesting anomalies photographed on Mars. This ain’t it. Unless of course, she or it is two inches tall. Looks like a bit of rock from above that has eroded and fallen into the “sand” above the other rock making it appear that a figure is standing there.
I think it’s the mark, or trail of such a rock that is now among the several below the little ledge. The darkened texture of the soil creates the illusion of an intervening, veil-like figure. I think the foreshortened view of the mark aids the illusion.
You know, I had been an avid follow of the Curiosity raw image gallery, but I hadn’t looked at it, well since sol 812, which is the last time I saved an image. This “ghost lady” is from sol 1001, and the current sol is 1067.
So, I can’t complain about the kooks.
