There is no happiness in revenge, either.

I remember this one too, a classic. Wish I was in bed drifting off to sleep...

The thing about this one is that it leaves the question of what actually happened a mystery. We assume the stone carver, made insane with the heat, kills the man, but it doesn’t say for sure.

Hmmm...I know the lead is Ronald Coleman, but the other guy sounds like Neil Hamilton.

Neil Hamilton isn't familiar to me at first thought...

Best known as Commissioner Gordon on the Batman TV series from the '60s.

Oh ok.
You think the chiseler sounded like Commissioner Gordon?

The chiseler killed the writer.
The chiseler sharpened his chisel, went insane due to the heat and killed him as the time was turning from the gravestone's date to the next day.

Love Orson Welles.
Last weekend I saw Citizen Kane again. He made that when he was 24. UNREAL. And most people don't know but the entire movie is a hate story to Hearst; Rosebud being Hearst's nickname for a private part of his wife.

Yes, that’s the implication, but the killing was never actually stated, just left implied.

It is truly amazing how talented the young people were back then. Back then, they seemed so much older than they were. Today, the young people seem like senseless zombies. I know that’s a generalization, and there are plenty of talented, good kids today, but I believe they’re a rare commodity.
