I''m growing Revelation Hybrid Sweet Corn from Parks…I have to start it in the greenhouse and transplant to the garden due to the cool springs here in Paradise. Our summer highs average in the high 60s to low 70s…

Thank you so much for the update, Marcella. It sounds as if Johnny is holding his own and managing very well despite his brain surgeries. That gives me much hope. God bless you and Bob, and of course, Johnny.
Take care, dear one.
Prayer of Thanks
Heavenly Father, I thank you for my life and everything you have bestowed upon me and upon all people, this day and every day.

I thank you for the good and bad, the understanding of forgiveness, and your holy power, without which we would have nothing.

I thank you this day for all your blessings, your gifts, your never ending love for us. Although we all are sinners, I ask you to forgive me every day for what I might have done wrong, that I might not have noticed.

Even though we all come short of the glory of God, I thank you for the sacrifice of your only son Jesus Christ for all our sins.

You and only you know us Father and you know if our hearts are true. So once again, I thank you with all my heart and soul. In the name of Christ I pray..
Amen.

Wow! We haven’t been to our local food stand yet this year, and were just talking about it. Now I am really inspired!

Organic vinegar (Braggs) on a yellow jacket sting will end the pain within a few minutes, according to my husband, who used it last week.

Chickens are the last thing you want in your garden.

If I forget to shut the gate behind me when I go in to work it won’t take five minutes for half the flock to be in there with me.

Chickens are connoisseurs of tomatoes. They will sample every tomato they can reach until the ripest one is located. They also like summer squash and snap peas.

Newly-tilled areas will be thoroughly scratched up in search of bugs and worms. If your seedlings taste good they will eat the ones they don’t scratch up.

If you want to let your chickens roam you will have to fence your garden.
