Other problems:

* Applications don’t carry over

* Windows 10 freezes: This is a hard one to call because it’s never clear if it’s Microsoft’s fault, the PC maker’s fault, a third-party software provider’s fault – or all of the above.

* Firefox browser does not perform as well on Windows 10.

* Cortana is a work in progress

As an IT professional, I specifically recommend waiting until the first service pack is out! (Or equivalent, under the new paradigm.)

Firefox browser does not perform as well on Windows 10.

The 64 bit variant, Waterfox, works great!

I have had some glitches in large directory copies in Explorer. Note: I did a fresh install of Win 7 Pro on a new hard drive and upgraded that before installing any apps.

I had all kind of freeze problems with 8.1, but none from 10 yet. I’m having talking to my internet router and get booted off often, but not with 8.1.

Overall I’m pretty happy, but I need to watch it for a while longer.

"...Windows 10 is a potentially great upgrade – that’s not quite great yet. The new Microsoft operating system is an essential redesign. That alone makes it worth the upgrade..."

LOL, they say that EVERY time...but the REAL question is...

Is it snappier?
