About how long should I wait for the main bugs to be worked out before I install Windows 10? (I have Windows 7 now.)
I would recommend that you wait till they issue their first Service Pack.
I’d hold off upgrading until Bill Gates says,
“If you like current version of Windows you can keep it. Period.”
Sorry couldn’t resist. But if you are happy with Windows 7 why change. Until they say support is ending. Which should be years.
They say there is a big update coming in October so maybe after that. I have a “spare” older laptop with win7 that I updated three days ago for trial”. It was the easiest upgrade I have ever done. I love 7 but I believe I may actually get to love this 10 more.
There has been a learning curve for me with the app stuff and as usual, everything is there but they have moved or re-named things so that has been fun learning.
There were a few glitches with waking it from sleep or having it shut down instead of restarting the first day. But after three days and another big update from MS this morning, it is really running smoothly and I have most of my programs easy to find.
What McGruff said.
So do I along with two Win 8.1 machines. No reason to change. I tried it and there was no benefit. I dealt with online chat techs for four days to no avail. My advice... stay where you are.
