I tend to agree. In fact, I would go so far as to say that whatever Trumps original reason for throwing his hat in the ring was no longer matters. This now comes down to who has more power, the power brokers or the people. We the people have one last chance to assert ourselves. Trump has his own money. We have the power of the vote. Trump can't be bought. We the people have the power to put the bull in the china shop. I say we do it. I say we the people use him to get back into DC, whether he decides to drop out or not. That is, unless we aren't sick of the same old same old. We don't have any money. We haven't had any power to put anyone in any position of power, that can't be bought, or who isn't already owned, in a long time. Now, and maybe for the last time, we do.

Somebody has been buying the office of the Presidency for a long time. Homegrown or not I have no idea. Probably some "global" faction. I see a candidate now who seems to be of, by and for the USA. I know he isn't the perfect conservative. But he is the opposite of "the lesser evil". He isn't second up from the bottom, he is one down from the top (Cruz).

And there you have it. Trump ain't perfect, but he isn't beholden to anyone - which is just one point of this thread. He isn't being bought off. He isn't in the pockets of special interests. He has nothing really to gain, and has indeed lost some at this point. I truly believe he wouldn't be in the game if he didn't, in fact, intend to win. And he sure as hell ain't going to damage his reputation as a respected executive, and lose what he has, just so that someone else can take the limelight.
