It’s just that this has got me thinking...and it hurts a little ;-)
I mean, these are supposed to be “Status Symbols.” But status symbols are worthless unless other people recognize them for what they are.
So now I have this picture in my head...a party or get-together where all the men are just having a good time, but the women are waging a ruthless Status War...but also being very careful not to let the men know what’s going on.
Sort of like everyday life, I guess ;-)
In what appears to be harmless exchange of words, an word can contain a barb even an ice pick. Men are better off pretending not to notice, even if they do.
