Trump/Cruz is not likely to happen.
If done correctly, a VP choice can deliver a tough state. TX should be a lock already. FL and OH would make sense. Romney may have won with a choice from a battleground state.
Cruz could be a valuable asset in one of many appointed positions though.

Agreed. At this stage of the game, all the pro/anti Trump squabbles remind me of theologians arguing how many angels would fit on the head of a pin.
I agree - TX is a lock for Trump so, sadly, Cruz is redundant for VP. He will need a marker in OH, maybe a Kasich who is recent to the race and moving in the polls. FL will be tough although we should hold our nose and go with Rubio if necessary.
The way Trump is going ...it will be Trump /Ham Sandwich takes NY in a landslide.
I thought Romney did pick someone from a battleground state. Unless you mean he should have picked a state with more electoral votes than Wisconsin.
