Grok is a Heinleinism, as in, coined by that dirty old man Robert A. Heinlein in the novel “Stranger in a Strange Land.” In Martian it literally meant ‘drink’ but it was used more in a way of thoroughly understanding something - even to the point where it became a part of you.
