Growing up in the east I loved the western deserts. But my wife didn’t like all the brown. It might also be that both parents were from Arizona and we learned to love visiting there.
I think the prettiest place in the world is the place where Democrats are in museums only to serve as a reminder of how insane we can become. But I haven’t seen that place yet.
(Museums, or college campii but not teaching.)
I spent a couple of hours checking to see if anyone was here, then I hung up the clothes to dry and worked a crossword puzzle (I wish I could find a jigsaw puzzle online. Shockwave used to have them, but the last time I tried, they charged. Hmpf.)
And still, no one was here. So I played a couple of not too interesting games to divert my attention, and when I checked again, the place was nutzoid with posters. *sheesh*
It probably has something to do with Monday...and I’m really fighting to stay awake.
There are college campii where teaching goes on? Does the Department of Education know about that?
Years ago, it was figured out that we would never be able to have enough "telephone operators" to keep up with demand. So that is when we became our own telephone operators and it became necessary for us to remember and dial telephone numbers ourselves.
Now we're seeing that a lot of other capabilities and features of "civilized living" have steadily progressed out of the reach of the common folk. Will we learn and apply the obvious lessons?
Soon we will need to become our own college career advisers, and we will need to become our own medical care experts as well. Thank goodness for the Internet! (Unless they take that away from us as well.)
