Not as bad as Texas was. I NEVER had a bill under $100, (2002 to 2005) and I seldom used my A/C or the furnace. This was a one-bedroom apartment, but the water heater and stove were gas. It sucked.
This just makes it harder for me to meet my other expenses. Once I pay the rent and get my pills, the rest of it is downhill, and I have to rob Peter to pay Paul. This time of year is terrible! If my power bills are less, I’m eligible for less energy assistance the next year, but I can’t afford to pay the high costs.
They have us coming and going.
ConEd has sent me a bill for $212 in the past.
That’s both gas and elec, but the building pays the heat so I’m thinking the AC last summer.
