Yessim! There is something about a man in a uniform...I was a military wife for 30 years, a military mom to two of my two kids, and a military grandmom. The Great-grandchildren are too young for uniforms, two of them being two and under, one less than a year, and one hasn’t made his/her debut yet.

Thanks to your son for serving America! And thanks to you and Don-O for serving by waiting and encouraging!

But my Ben looks so-o-o-o-o-o handsome in his flight suit!

Couple pics on my profile if anyone wants to verify.

We’ll take your word for it! My father commanded a squadron at NAS Corpus Christi in the mid-70s.

Wheels down in York.
Six hours on the road and only burned a third of a tank of diesel.

Evensong was good tonight in the Minster,

Well, I’ve managed to get most things installed and downloaded, and even got the slave to mind me. Now, I just need to disable this annoying touchpad, and I’ll be good to go. If I only knew how to do it.

I think I have two more programs to install. I did run across a problem, though. I used OpenOffice on all my document files since first downloading it way back when, (I think I was still in TX) and when I tried to pull up Igor’s life story so I could finish it, only Acrobat was available to open it. How do I change that?

So far, of the other files that I selected, all opened with OpenOffice. Very perplexing.

(Thanks, T-c!)

So, T-c, did the tame ogre make it home to Kathleen’s delight and amazement? I’m sure he really wanted to see her! LOL! Your kids are so funny!

I will wash clothes in the morning. I have to. Period. I didn’t get quarters today because I didn’t want $20 in cash which is the smallest amount Walmart will give back in cash, so I will go early to Rebel and get the quarters there. Robert said he opened tomorrow and Tuesday, so I’m good to go. I need to do something for him, for sure. I just don’t know what.

At least I won’t be drying clothes tomorrow, but I will probably have to go back on Tuesday to get the sheets done. Maybe once before the close of this year, I can get caught up on the laundry. *sigh*

I will now (today or tomorrow) download the photos to my hard drive so I can insert them where I want them in the genealogy. Thank you so much!

Whataguy!

I have an appointment almost in downtown Wednesday, but the idle is set pretty high since the fuel pressure regulator was replaced, so I will have to see if they will set it lower without charging me. It just eats too much gas this way.

The truck used to get very good mileage, when I first got it, but since the first repair, I’ve lost about 4 mpg. Darn.

Would you like any from York ,if I should just happen to take any? :)
Weather dependant.
The Chinese tourists here are totally trusting of the natives.....let’s hope they don’t encounter any rouges.

Mine changes 4 mpg when the tyre pressures are to low.
A good garage should tweek the idle speed for you , it is usually a fairy simple job on a mechanical injector pump.

Found a USB memory stick that plugs into i-objects for backing up your stuff without using a net based server.

Any place, actually, as my ancestry goes right back to the Royals. I like to follow it back and see where they made alliances and marriages and even some castle conspiracies and poisonings!

So yes, wherever you happen to have a camera and you don’t mind taking pics. I obviously won’t be going to the British Isles any time soon, so I have to do this genealogy thing wherever and whenever I have the opportunity.

I had a web URL back in 2001 that had all the castles in England and Spain, but I lost it. I had a Gateway PC and that thing crashed four times, and each time, I was copying genealogy from hard copy to hard drive. I was a novice, and had no idea about saving. As a result, I would have 2,000 entries and “crash!” Then, 4,000 and “CRASH!” I got up to 3,000 and printed out an index, and then printed out about half of the family tree when the doggone thing crashed again. Next computer was a Compaq. <3

The tires on the truck are at the high end of the pressure spectrum for that model and make, as if there is too little pressure, the front end gets really squirrelly.

I will call the Muffler Shop tomorrow and ask if they could tweak it back down a little. I had a friend who could do it, but that’s past tense. *sigh*

I used a thumb drive this last time, but I’m still missing some stuff, and I’m thinking it’s on the Lost Thumb Drive. I have no idea where it is. If I find it, it will have all the data that’s missing. Otherwise, I’ll have to reconstruct the lengthiest of the files. *yikes*

However, I’m not getting any younger, and I need to get this done!

Tom was, in fact, happy to see Kathleen. He took a shower and then had a nap, and then he went to church. Kathleen got sent to nap, too.

Frank was a pain at church. He knocked Miss Gladys’s drink over (fortunately it was just water), and then kept trying to sneak off. I asked one of my friends to watch him, “You sit right here next to Don Ramon, and DON’T MOVE.” (That’s Ramon our tile installer.) Well, he moved a couple of rows closer to the front, but at least he mostly sat.

I’m sure Kathleen needed a nap, as she was probably hyper about Tom’s return.

As for Frank, would you say he is you “problem child?” Wow. What a kid. He reminds me of my daughter around that age. Maybe she was a little older.

I’m about ready to call it a day. My back has been bothering me quite a bit, so I think it’s time I head for the blanket show, though I’m sure I won’t be doing much watching of the blankets. More like playing Solitaire for at least an hour while I wait for time to pass until I can take my evening pills. If I take them too early, I will have to fight off sleep and I don’t want to do that.

Wednesday is my appointment with Ortho, and I’ll be glad when it’s over with. I have to take so much stuff to them — X-rays, MRI DVD and a HUGH packet of papers that I had to fill out. At least when I come home, I will have some idea of what to expect. Then I can discuss it with my FRiends about the best course of action to take.

Getting this computer set up has been pretty taxing, but at least I don’t have to worry about replacing it any time soon. I still have a couple of websites to put in the Favorites file, but that’s a minimal challenge, so I’m not worried. The worst of the work is over with.

Frank just has a lot of mobility going on. His Sunday School teacher figured it out immediately and stuck him a spot where he won’t squirm into anyone else.

Hope you have a good night!

Good for the Sunday School teacher! LOL! I take it this isn’t the first kid she’s had to deal with that had the Terminal Squirmies!

I wonder if he would benefit from martial arts classes? It might help him direct his energy for good things.

And with that, I’ll shut this down and head for bed.

I’ll see all y’all in the morning!

She’s a school teacher in real life. It would be nice to get Frank into a sport with lots of action, but we have a zillion other kids to think of. One of the other Cub Scout leaders asked if Frank could play football, but then he said practices three evenings a week and games up to 60 miles away.

If someone living on our street wanted to pack Frank along with his own son, it would work, but that’s the only way.
