a go back and fix it
Can you get online and look at your options for other lodging? Since there’s some time ... like with Tom’s hypothetical impending moveout, sigh ... you can compare locations, features, and costs. A paid-for move is not to be sneezed at!
In other news, there’s a card going out to you tomorrow with the pictures of Kathleen and Tom. USPS picked up between the time I put out the envelope to my mother-in-law and the time I went out with more. All they brought us was catalogs and a running magazine, but I had a nice card from you Saturday.
Can you volunteer with a cat-rescue group? The local organizations that place cats for adoption at Petsmart advertise for people to come hang out with the cats there.
Seconded.
I have another place in my mind, but I don’t know if I have to wait for all the “paperwork” to be submitted to the HUD authorities and approved (about a year) or if I can do it in the next six months.
They will pay for the move to anywhere in the US. I need dry and warm, so I’m fairly limited. I will go out tomorrow morning and see if I can find the phone numbers to this place I want to check out. It would be nice to have a place with washer hook-ups... I’m going through my laundry money in a hurry. I have to wash every week now, as we are only allowed to use two machines at a time, and that’s disgusting. I have to wash clothes one week and sheets and towels the next week. If I don’t keep up on it, it will be overwhelming.
I will have to go over the booklet we were given today and see if I can understand it better than I did when the gal was talking. People are so rude. She had to keep telling people to hush and let her talk and that there would be a Q and A afterwards.
They are even willing to give us Section 8 vouchers, even though that’s closed right now, but for us, they will make an exception. *sure* I can’t afford “affordable” housing, but I can sure look into some of the places here in Hooterville. I would consider Boulder City, but... And even Laughlin, though that is always hotter than here. I could even consider Mesquite.
At any rate, I won’t move back here, even if they offered...I’m tired of moving.
Strange....
You rang?
LOL - and where the hell’s my truck?
Ha-ha!
Is this the kind of laptop that can send its display information out to another device?
Most TVs these days have hookups to accommodate a computer connection. You could probably finish up your task with equipment you already have.
Ssssssh. You’ll run it.
Actually, that’s no way I could work where the TV is, but it has HDMI.
Suture self, but it gives you a way to “double-check” the color output.
Note: “Suture self” and “needles to say” are not copyrighted. I just hope you get my point.
I’m having trouble installing Dragon (Nuance) software completely. I don’t know if it is Win10 or something I have overlooked.
If you have time this week, could you look at it, please? No hurry, because I can transcribe the old fashioned way, but reading the handwriting would be easier than typing.
There are three major documents I need to get done, but I also have a query about that. I have to make several copies of each one for my siblings and/or children, but I wonder if a CD-ROM is better, or a thumb drive. Any thoughts?
I love your punny ways, Bob! :o])
I just got the Win10 edition of a BSOD...
Now it’s telling me to check my WiFi connection.
I SO wish I could afford a MAC!
The second choice is a Chromebook, though I’m not excited about that. My problem, I think, would be converting all my files (documents) to something that worked on either OS.
And now, I’m going to bed.
Thailand?
The Story Behind the Platteland Twins Photograph: "I was driving around a town in the Western Transvaal in 1993 with my wife and children looking for photographs. Upon turning into a street, I noticed what I believed to be an interesting subject working in the garden. I stopped and asked Dresie if I could photograph him. He walked to the verandah of his where his mother and sister were sitting. I asked them for permission to photograph Dresie. As I lifted my camera to photograph Dresie against the verandah wall, a shadow appeared from behind. As I turned my head Dresies twin brother Casie appeared. His shirt was clean, as unlike Dresie, he worked inside the house." ~ Ballen
I guess there is no off-topic on this thread.
These guys show similar but opposite features (squinted eye, larger nostril, etc.) My twin daughters also have exact opposite features, although more subtle (and prettier!!). Teeth came in and fell out in opposite manners from each other, eye dominance (for shooting), etc.
